Fire Horse Frames is the affiliate company to our gallerie. Frame designer and woodworker Robert Cowan produces a wide variety of custom frame mouldings and original woodwork designs available for purchase through our gallerie.

Robert embraces the philosophy of working with earth friendly hardwoods grown in the U.S. He selects all his wood pieces by hand, then custom mills these pieces to various sizes combining them with other materials to give the final moulding the look and feel of traditional fine crafted frames of the old masters. Each frame is hand painted with a variety of techniques and finishes which range from historic milkpaints to various recipes combining paint, stain, gilding, rubbing and distressing.

Robert works with galleries, artists and clients interested in frame designs that that are original and unique to the work of art being framed. He also rebuilds and refurbishes found and antique frame mouldings.
